Presentation
The Globeducate Robotics Challenge is a competition that brings together young talents from different international schools. The participants, divided into three levels (primary, middle, high school), will use Lego™ Spike robots to practice programming throughout the school year and during the final competition accomplish various missions on a mat. complex competition full of obstacles.

History
Our French schools are part of the Globeducate group, which brings together more than 60 premium, bilingual and international educational establishments and distance schools, spread across 11 countries. Our schools in France benefit from a project launched with LEGO ® Education, using LEGO ® Education SPIKE ™ Prime resources. The program brings together LEGO ® bricks, a programmable Multiport Hub, sensors and motors and a wide range of creative lesson plans.

While the French education system is still largely structured by separate “subjects”, the future of our students will largely call on transversal skills allowing them to tackle complex problems with creativity and as a team.

It is in this context that STEAM learning begins to develop in international schools and more specifically in our Globeducate schools located in Paris and on the Côte d'Azur: it is an educational approach combining the sciences , technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, hence the acronym STEAM. The idea is to explore activities rich in multidisciplinary concepts and content, in order to establish links between different knowledge and above all to put them at the service of problem solving and working together based on games to improve learning. Through hands-on projects like this, students must understand the usefulness of concepts, which promotes motivation and encourages creativity, teamwork and sharing.
It is in this dynamic that the general director of the EIB, Mr. Moreau, entrusted Mr. Davasse and his teams from the EIB Monceau college with the task of organizing an event around robotics for students from the Globeducate France group.
Today is the fourth edition of this challenge in France.

Director General of EIB

Jean-Pierre Davasse
Head of school - EIB Monceau

However, this adventure does not end there. For the 2024-2025 school year, Mr. Daniel Jones, Director of Education at Globeducate, aims to propel our initiative to an international level, thereby expanding our reach and impact.

Daniel Jones
Chief Education Officer
We are therefore honored to announce that, from today, registrations are now accessible to all primary, middle and high schools of the Globeducate group internationally.

We are therefore considering a hybrid challenge for the first year of this new version of the challenge, combining face-to-face and remote competition, with the objective of transitioning to an exclusively face-to-face format in the following years.
